The Dirt – July 2012

The NZ Landscape Supplies Monthly Newsletter

Well, here we are in the middle of winter and the weather has gone from wet and wild on Tuesday the 3rd to stunning sunshine and cool temperatures on Saturday the 7th. No doubt there is plenty more in store for us before Spring comes around. At least it‘s never boring and keeps Jim Hickey in a job.

We have a huge number of projects and happenings over the next few months so make sure you read The Dirt and pass it on to relevant people in your company.

We have done it again and we have managed to squeeze another extension out of Wool Gro. We can continue to offer the Woolgro, Tall Fescue and Premium Fine, Lawn Mat at greatly reduced prices for another month.

$65 + gst is a great deal!

  1. Keeps for at least 12 months (dry and out of direct sunlight).
  2. Will not wash away in the rain or get eaten by birds (a big problem for regular seed).
  3. Retains moisture and has built-in fertiliser that insulates the seed for improved germination.
  4. Results in a thick, lush lawn.
  5. Best of all only $65 + gst for 15 m2. Only $4.33 per m2.

Keep an eye out for next months announcement of our

Woolgro - thick, lush lawn!!

One of our new initiatives is to expand our product range while retaining our core products that suit so many of our customers (there is a clue in that sentence about one of the new products, can you find it?). By having the new products it means that there are a number of spin off products that we will stock. This enables us to offer complete package deals for certain products

This month’s featured staff:

The Bradley Bunch

This month’s employees need little introduction.

We have Granddad, Dad and Daughter working for us and they contribute a huge amount to our reputation and service level. The Bradleys have become synonymous with landscape supply in this part of the world. Noel has spent over 20 years in the East Tamaki Yard and has shaken the hand of nearly every customer that has ever been in the yard. His son Nigel is based in our Onehunga yard and has probably delivered to you sometime over the past 3 years. Melissa has been with us at East Tamaki since just before she left school and has spent the last couple of years learning the ins and outs of customer requirements and customer service.

Three generations of the one family working in the same company must say something about the business.

NZ Landscape sponsorship

At the end of this month NZ Landscape Supplies are sponsoring the

1) Garden Management Large Project 2012

2) Garden Management Small Project 2012

…at the annual Landscaping New Zealand Conference which is in Hamilton this year.

We are very proud to be have been invited to sponsor this award because it is directly related to our section of the industry and showcases the effort our clients put into their projects. Good luck to all the entrants and I can’t wait to see who wins. Photos to come next month.

Lyndle and I are off to Oz in early August to have a look at some Supply yards around the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast area. We just want to see if there is anything we can learn or maybe teach them about Landscape and Garden Supply. While we do our research in Mooloolaba we will be thinking of you.

Again if you have read this far, come in and purchase from us at your company account prices. Proof of identity required.

If you have any questions please contact us – as always we are happy to help.
